Our mission is to provide fun and educational resources to teachers and children to help them understand the critical roles trees play in maintaining the ecological balance on this planet.
Our goal is to have 200,000 elementary school students participate in the "Grow-a-Tree" project this school year!
Established in 1991, International Cooperation of Children for Trees for Life Canada Inc. (TFL CANADA) is a provincially and federally registered non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to providing resources for elementary school environmental education.
Since its inception, Trees for Life Canada has been working to develop and distribute the acclaimed "Grow a Tree" project to schools across Canada.
Each "Grow a Tree" kit is delivered to teachers and schools complete with biodegradable cartons and seeds for each student to plant and grow his or her own tree; A fun and colourful student workbook that guides students through grade specific environmental and outdoor education learning; A teacher's manual containing grade specific lessons and activities to facilitate the planting and growing of trees.
