Trees for Life reaches beyond Canadian borders
Environmental issues such as air quality and deforestation transcend political borders. Engaging children in environmental education and hands-on, practical solutions is one important way that these enormous problems are addressed.
The Grow a Tree Project has been so successful, that it has literally “branched out” to other countries.
TFL Canada has partnered with interested parties in China and Chile to form two self-sustaining organizations. Trees for Life China and Trees for Life Chile reach thousands of children in Asia and South America annually.
As of 2012, Trees For Life Ghana is teaching environmental education to schoolchildren in Accra, Ghana.
TFL Canada continues to initiate partnerships with additional countries from around the world. With each partnership and shared interest in the environment, issues such as deforestation and decreasing air quality become easier to shoulder.

For 20 years TD Friends of the Environment has been a key sponsor of the Grow A Tree program, providing funding for over 300,000 students. We wish to thank them for their consistent support over the years.
