What is "Grow-a-Tree"?
A Fun, Hands-on, Environmental Education Experience Designed for students in Kindergarden to Grade Six
The Grow-A-Tree program is a unique, hands-on classroom activity that introduces Kindergarten to Grade Six students to important grade-appropriate topics in science, ecology, social and environmental studies. The program consists of two parts: During the hands on component, students have an opportunity to plant, germinate and grow their own tree seedling. The accompanying grade-appropriate workbook provides children with a wealth of activities and information, presented in a fun, "comic-book" format that is as fun as it is educational.

Curriculum Design and Validity
The "Grow-A-Tree" Project was developed in coordination with educational consultants to ensure the validity of the project's children's activities and assure their usefulness in the classroom. Further, the program was designed to integrate across several curriculum areas. (In particular, Canadian teachers will appreciate that the program meets the current standard curriculum guidelines.)
Cost
"Grow-a-Tree" Kits are provided at a cost of $2 per student plus $10 shipping for each classroom order. Shipping cost for additional classroom orders is $2 per class.
