Dear Trees for Life,

Just a note to say thank you for your kindness during Earth Week. Our whole school planted seeds for Earth Day. This couldn’t have been possible without your quick delivery of extra kits. We all certainly enjoyed the kits. Perhaps we will forward pictures of some finished products.

Thanks again for your kindness and thoughtfulness.

Sincerely yours,
Laura Morris, Lapleytown School

Dear Ms. Radha Zaidi,

First of all, I hasten to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kindness and hospitality you , I.C.O.C and Trees for Life volunteers and the school staff accorded us all the while we were in Canada. This made my sojouirn in your country an unforgettable part of my life. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, preparations and kind company.

During this week, we not only exchanged ideas on environmental protection, afforestation, but also talked about education philosophy, pedagogy courses offered, from which our delegation learned a lot. PaoTongShu Elementary School and XinHuau Elementary School established sister relationship with 2 schools in Toronto. This surely will give more chance to the children of the two countries to participate in the I.C.O.C. Trees for Life project.

We will try our best to make this project better in QingYang Borough. I’m sure because of our successful cooperation and effort, both countries, our generations and generations to come will benefit from the project.

Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality. I enjoy seeing you again very much. With best regards to you and Mr. Zaidi. Best wishes to out programme.

Sincerely,
Wang Man Qin, Deputy Director
Qing Yang Educational Board

Justin Douglas Schrage, Gr. 3, South Bar, N.S

Dear Mrs. Zaidi,

I go to Mount Albion School and our class for the Grow-a-Tree project for the grade 4’s. I’m growing a garden of my own and my brother and I are digging all the rocks away because I’m hoping to put my little tree in my garden. I am going to put all the flowers I’m growing around my tree. I can’t grow mine in my garden because we can’t get the rocks out. I thought about growing it in the middle of my backyard and put flowers around it.

Sincerely,
Tom, Grade 4

Dear Mrs. Zaidi,

What I liked about the Grow-a-Tree was that I got to plant a tree. I like this program because I learned a lot and it was fun. But most of all I like that I can help the world.

Tara, Gr. 3, South Bar, N.S

Dear Mrs. Zaidi,

…I like what you are doing. I mean, saving trees is a lot of hard work. I just wanted to say, thank you for helping me plant a tree.

Sincerely,

Dear Trees for Life,

I got a tree. It’s a Jack Pine. I love my tree. I named it Job-Job. I love tress because they grow tall and strong. My dad’s tree is very tall. He named it Babe. It’s taller than him and he is tall! I have a tree growing in my room. I love it. Trees are cool. They give us oxygen and without oxygen you can’t breath. I love trees.

Your friend,
Tabitha, Gr. 4, Beiseker, AL
